Bruin Biometric, in collaboration with our Distributor partners Arjo, recently had an article in The Guardian’s Health Awareness Supplement, prominently featured in the Skin Health section, titled ‘A new approach is needed to assess the risk of pressure ulcers’.
The primary contributor to the article was Dr Neesha Oozageer Gunowa. Dr Gunowa is the Pathway Lead in Community Nursing at the University of Surrey as well as Community Nurse Fellow at NHS England & Improvement. In this article, Dr Gunowa discusses health disparities in pressure injury/ulcer (PI/U) prevention and how new approaches are needed for dark skin tone patients.
Also collaborating in the article was Martin Burns, CEO of Bruin Biometrics LLC. Martin discusses how technology can play a part in reducing health disparities in PI/U prevention.
