We are delighted to announce the Provizio ® SEM Scanner Single-Use-Sensors are now available on the NHS England and Wales Drug Tariff.
The NHS Prescription Services produces the Drug Tariff on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care. This sits under the NHSBSA who manage £35m of NHS spend annually delivering a range of services to NHS contractors, patients and the public. Their purpose is to be a catalyst for better health and their vision is to be the delivery partner of choice for the NHS.
To achieve Drug Tariff listing technologies must demonstrate safety, quality, a positive impact on patient outcomes and ability to reduce the total costs within the patient pathway.
This addition plays a crucial role in ensuring Community Healthcare Professionals have the option of prescribing Provizio SEM Scanner Single-Use-Sensors when scanning patients in their own home to support pressure ulcer prevention.
Provizio SEM Scanner has been proven to help reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers1,2 and has been reported to be cost effective3.
