24/08/18 Strathclyde University Technology and Innovation Centre, Glasgow Stand No. ##
Scottish Care is delighted to bring a new Technology and Digital event to the Scottish social care sector.
The event will be held in the Strathclyde University Technology and Innovation Centre on Friday 24th August 2018.
Technology has an increasingly important role to play in all our lives. In social care, technology is being used to enable individuals to maintain their independence for as long as possible, to support staff more effectively in their work, and to ensure that individuals remain in control of their supports for as long as possible.
This unique event will bring together designers and developers alongside people who use and work in social care services. As well as hearing about cutting edge innovation, the event will provide an opportunity to consider what technology might mean for you in your home or workplace.
This event will explore some of the most creative technologies now available and some which are currently under development. We have three themes running throughout the day: –
• Technology and the Person
• Technology and the Provider
• Technology and Practice
Each of the themes will have workshops throughout the day which delegates are free to choose from. These will be delivered by subject specialists, designers and innovators, as well as provider and workforce presenters.
This will be a unique day and one not to be missed if you are interested in the shape of the care home and care at home/housing support sector in Scotland, both now and in the future.
More details of the range of UK and international contributors will be available shortly and further information will be available on our website. Delegate tickets will be priced at £20 per person, and booking details will also be available on our website over the coming weeks.
